In November 1989, Romania qualified for the World Cup in Italy by defeating Denmark at home 3-1. In 1990, free of communism, Romania wore Adidas in the tournament held on Italian soil and the German gear sponsor did not disappoint. If you don't believe us, take a closer look at the fabulous design of this goalkeeper shirt also sported by Silviu Lung - Romania's starting goalie back then - against Maradona's Argentina in the group and then in the knock-out match against Bobby Charlton's Ireland. Quite a remarkable piece of history, don't you say?
